Artist Statement
I like to incorporate texture and layers into my work.
I often sense there is more happening beneath the surface of our everyday experiences than we realize. For me, art is an exploration in excavation. My paintings consist of layers of paint that are sanded and scraped away to reveal the image hidden beneath the surface.
